Menu Component and Alignment Palettes Missing

When designing a menu in Office Manager>Tools>Design Your Food Menu, it’s common to move the component and alignment palettes to the left or right-near the edge of the screen.

When the screen resolution is changed to a lower resolution, this can render the palettes off the screen and not visible-in other words too far to the left or the right.

There are two methods to correct this problem and make the palettes visible again:

  1. Increase the screen resolution to the original resolution, move the palettes to the center, decrease the screen resolution back to the desired resolution.
  2. Delete a registry key-note that the key is machine specific.  The navigation is as follows.  Open the registry editor using regedit.  Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>Altium (Dream VCL). Delete the Altium (Dream VCL) folder.  Open Office Manager again and the palettes will return to their default position and are now visible.

WARNING:  DO NOT ENTER THE REGISTRY UNLESS YOU UNDERSTAND EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE DOING.  SERIOUS DAMAGE TO THE WINDOWS OPERATING SYSTEM CAN OCCUR IF YOU DELETE OR EDIT REGISTRY KEYS INCORRECTLY.
